PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder opening blocking device for an endoscope which allows the inner peripheral surface of a cylinder to be washed in the entire range and is easily attached to and detached from a cylinder mouth. SOLUTION: The cylinder opening blocking device for the endoscope includes: cylinder mouth engaging portions 11, 12 and 13 which are freely engaged and disengaged with/from the mouth of the cylinder 3 and engaged in such a state that they cannot be detached in an axial direction from the mouth of the cylinder 3; and cylinder opening blocking portions 21 and 22 which are brought into press-contact from the outside with the mouth opening of the cylinder 3 without entering the inside of the cylinder 3 to block the opening in the state that the cylinder mouth engaging portions 11, 12, and 13 are engaged with the mouth of the cylinder 3.
