METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR IMPLEMENTING HARQ RETRANSMISSION USING UNICAST LINK

A method for implementing hybrid automatic repeat request HARQ retransmission in enhanced multimedia broadcast multicast service E-MBMS using unicast link is disclosed. The method includes the following steps: a user terminal detects the E-MBMS packets transmitted from at least one base station; when the user terminal cannot restore the E-MBMS packets, the user terminal selectively reports a negative acknowledge NACK for the E-MBMS packets to its service base station using unicast uplink; after the service base station receives the negative acknowledge NACK for the E-MBMS packets from the user terminal, the service base station selectively retransmits the E-MBMS packets to the user terminal using unicast downlink.
