The invention relates to a battery (1) comprising a case (3), especially a battery (1) for a hybrid vehicle or a fuel cell-powered vehicle. The battery (1) comprises a heat-conducting plate (7), arranged at the bottom, for adjusting the temperature of the battery (1), the battery (1) having a plurality of individual cells (2) that are interconnected in parallel and/or in series. The individual cells (2) are connected to the heat-conducting plate (7) in a heat-conducting manner, the individual cells (2) having a heat-conducting covering (6) in the longitudinal direction. The individual cells (2) are placed on the heat-conducting plate (7) with their longitudinal axes in parallel to each other, the heat-conducting plate (7) having respective bores (13) in a region where the individual cells are placed on the plate.
