<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building-related information providing system capable of acquiring accurate information even when collation is less accurate. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An image photographed by an image acquisition means 102 of a portable terminal 30 with a camera is transmitted by an information provision request transmitting means 103 to an information providing server 500 through a network 101; building candidates are narrowed down by an image matching degree based narrowing means 113 on the basis of a degree of match between a feature amount of the received image and a feature amount of each building within a complex type building-related information database 215; building candidates are narrowed down by a string matching degree based narrowing evaluation means 223 on the basis of a matching degree between a character string in the received image and a character string included in an image of a specific area of each building within the database 215; results narrowed down by the two narrowing means are combined to select a final building candidate; and the selected final building candidate is transmitted to the portable terminal 30 with a camera by a provided information transmitting means 214.
