<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve appropriate rotational drive in accordance with temperature changes in a stepping motor control circuit. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A predetermined current is supplied to a drive coil of a stepping motor 105 from a constant current drive circuit 108. The voltage generated in the drive coil is detected by a comparison circuit 106. A temperature determination section 110 of a control circuit 103 determines the ambient temperature of the stepping motor 105 on the basis of the comparison result of the comparison circuit 106. The control circuit 103 selects a principal drive pulse P1 having a pulse width corresponding to the determined temperature.
