PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus preventing user's operation from being complicated. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus includes: a camera section that images a subject; an operating section that receives a user's instruction to focus on the subject; a focus control section that, when the operating section receives the instruction to focus, controls the camera section so as to focus on the subject; and an informing section that, when the camera section focuses on the subject under the control by the focus control section, emits sound indicating that the imaging of subject is about to start.
