PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cut control method of a printer with a cutter in which the throughput of printing processing is never reduced even when a recording paper is cut in a plurality of positions. SOLUTION: The printer with the cutter 1 analyzes supplied printing data 35 by an analysis means 46 and stores control information specified by a cut control command O, when the cut control command O is included in the printing data 35. When a monitoring means 48 detects that the control information is interpreted for a printing job, a cut control means 50 cuts the recording paper 9a or a fan fold paper 10 by using the detection as a trigger. Thus, it is unnecessary that cut commands are inserted into the plurality of positions to be cut in the printing data 35, respectively, so that the plurality of cut commands inserted into the printing data 35 are not differently interpreted.
