The housing (1) has two housing parts (2, 3), where an elongate element (4) is arranged within one of the housing parts (2). One of the housing parts (3) has through holes (8) corresponding to the number of elongate elements. The elongate element traverses an interior space of the housing and comprises a closing section (6) and an opening section (5) for closing and opening the through holes respectively. A section of the elongate element is arrived into the through holes based on the opening and/or closing of through holes by relative motion of the housing parts. An independent claim is also included for a method for opening or closing a flow path or a valve between an interior space of a housing and an environment for passage of liquid or gaseous media.
