The signals of the broadband oxygen sensor lie at two clamps (A3,A4) of the switching arrangement. Clamps (A1,A2) of an outlet of the switching arrangement are connected with the inlet of the motor control device. The voltage of a Nernst cell lies at the outlet of the controller. The Nernst cell lies between a measuring cell and an air reference. An independent claim is included for a method for operating a switching arrangement for functional testing of motor control device.
