<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component mounting apparatus capable of coping with diversification of nozzle kinds for mounting diversified electronic components and capable of improving productivity more than before. <P>SOLUTION: By including a component holding device 106, an imaging apparatus 116, an exchanging holding member-loading part 118 and a controller 109, on the basis of identification marks attached to a component holding member 1062 and a holding member 120 for exchange and imaged in the imaging apparatus, the component holding device can automatically execute the exchange of the component holding member and the exchanging holding member loaded on the exchanging holding member-loading part.
