<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a forming die for a micro-lens array sheet in which a plurality of concave parts having a high aspect ratio are formed, easily and inexpensively. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a forming die for forming a micro-lens array sheet comprises a resist film forming process, an exposure/development process, an etching process and a resist film removal process. The exposure/development process is the process for forming a plurality of apertures in areas corresponding to the positions of a plurality of concave parts of the resist film. The etching process is the process for forming a plurality of concave parts by etching a base material from above the resist film after the exposure/development process. The exposure/development process is the process for forming a plurality of apertures so as to satisfy the relationship of 212.5≤(D1×100)/D2≤334.6 wherein D1 represents the diameter of the concave part, and D2 represents the maximum diameter of the aperture.
