PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote data copying system among disk array devices, for improving copy performance. SOLUTION: A disk array device 11 of a primary site 1 and a disk array device 21 of a secondary site 2 are connected through a communication line. The disk array device 11 of the primary site 1 comprises a storage means 113 which stores updating data in a storage buffer 115 to be packed, and a communication means 114 which transmits packing data packed in the storage buffer 115 to the disk array device 21 of the secondary site 2 all together when the storage buffer 115 becomes full. The disk array device 21 of the secondary site 2 includes a receiving means 211 which stores the received packing data in a receiving buffer 213 all together in the packing manner, and a status notification means 212 which notifies that the reception is completed to the disk array device 11 of the primary site 1 when reception of the packing data to the receiving buffer 213 is completed.
