<p>The present invention relates to a stanchion (10) of a load platform or the like. The stanchion (10) has a first end (11) and a second end (12). The stanchion (10) incorporates a stanchion housing (9) and a locking device (20) incorporating a lever (21). A first locking member (33) is arranged to be displaceable in at least a portion of the lever (21) and arranged to cooperate with a platform attachment (50) in connection to the load platform between at least a locked position and an unlocked position in relation to the platform attachment (50) for locking the first end (11) of the stanchion (10) to the platform attachment (50).
