PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a comparator circuit wherein determination time is shorter, along with an ADC having the same. SOLUTION: The comparator circuit outputs a determination signal indicating whether an input signal is larger or smaller than a determined value. The comparator circuit includes a first comparator where the input signal is compared with a first comparison value to generate a first determination signal containing determination result, a second comparator in which the input signal is compared with a second comparison value different from the comparison value to generate a second determination signal containing determination result, and an output selection circuit wherein it is discriminated which of the first and second determinations signals is generated first, and the signal generated first is selected for output as a determination signal.
