<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for compressing a molten material in an injection molding die and/or compensating of shrinkage of the molten material. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The injection compression molding apparatus is equipped with a cavity die adjacent to a cavity plate, a core die adjacent to a core plate, a die cavity formed among dies, and at least one piezoelectric ceramic actuator placed on either or both of between the core plate and the core die and between the cavity plate and the cavity die. A controller is connected to at least the one piezoelectric ceramic actuator to operate it, and thereby a volume of the die cavity is reduced and the molten material is compressed.
