<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a hand, a finger, a thing, or the like from being brought into contact with a terminal provided in the plug insertion portion of a receptacle as the receiving side connector in charging. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In a charging device, a plug 22 is connected to the receptacle 11 to supply power from a power supply device 23 to a battery 8. Also, an electromagnetic contactor 14 of main circuit wires 13a, 13b on a vehicle body side and the electromagnetic contactor 25 provided in main circuit wires 23a, 23b on the charging device 20 side are both turned on. The receptacle 11 is provided in a position short of the plug insertion portion 11a with a shutter mechanism 30 having a pair of upper and lower shutter plates 31U, 31L. Springs 32U, 32L are arranged so as to bias the shutter plates 31U, 31L into an open state. A solenoid 34a comprising a shutter driving means 34 for driving the shutter plates closed against the springs 32U, 32L is connected to the battery 8 through the electromagnetic contactor 14.
