<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle camera with easy handling capable of photographing the outside of the vehicle without receiving influence of a map reflected to a windshield. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The on-vehicle camera is provided with a camera body for photographing the outside of the vehicle while passing through the windshield of the vehicle from the inside of a cabin of the vehicle; a light-shielding means for preventing entering of a light from a visual field of a camera body on the windshield from a lower side of the visual field; and a drive means for moving the light-shielding means between a first position imminent to the light-shielding position where the light-shielding means approaches to the windshield and a second position where it is retreated from the windshield.
