<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of securing a space on the opposite side of a machine tool, reducing the necessities of changing layout of equipment, shortening cycle time by preventing vibration of an arm and improving positioning accuracy of a workpiece, regarding a loader device, and loading and unloading method. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In this loader device, a middle part of a fixed side guide member 46 is relatively, turnably and pivotally supported in relation to a frame 14 by a rotary shaft 31 arranged horizontally in an upper part of the frame 14, and a sliding side guide member 18 connected to the fixed side guide member 46 to be relatively slidable in the longitudinal direction of the arm 17 in a middle part of the arm 17. An end part on the frame 14 side of the arm 17 and a vertical middle part of the frame 14 are connected by a link 21 relatively, turnably and pivotally supported in each of the end part and the middle part.
