PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing the adhesion of marine organism, which is free from the reduction of effects for a long period of time, yet deals with kinds of marine organisms to be attached and with the change of larval density, is friendly to the environment and is energy-saving. SOLUTION: The method for preventing adhesion of marine organism includes injecting a carbon dioxide gas in the mixing ratio to seawater (carbon dioxide gas/seawater) of 0.1-4/100 to seawater to generate microbubbles of carbon dioxide gas having diameter sizes of 10 to several 10s of μm in seawater, dissolving a carbon dioxide gas in seawater by the microbubbles so as to adjust seawater to pH 6.4-8.1 and to prevent adhesion of marine organism in the pH range.
