Dental products with remineralising props

Dental preparations contg:- (1) 0.5-15% water-sol. mineral phosphates, (2) 0.5-10% water-sol. organic phosphates, (3) 0.1-10% water-sol. fluoro-cpd. (4) opt. enzymes in an amount of 0.05-10%, together with usual additives, and having a pH of 4.5-6.5. Prefd. formulations contain 3-10% of a mixt. of equal amounts of KH2PO4 and Na2HPO4, 1-5% of di-Na glycerophosphate, 0.15-5% of an alkali monofluorophosphate and opt. an enzyme such as a protease, amylase, lipase or dextranase. Useful in preventing dental caries, and are superior to existing products as shown by animal expts. Enzymes are advantageous in decomposing food residues.
