A solar battery module (1) is provided with: a wiring board (200) having connecting wiring on the front surface; a plurality of solar battery cells (100); a sealing material (400) which seals the solar battery cells (100) mounted on the front surface of the wiring board (200); and a translucent front surface protecting material (500) which covers the solar battery cells (100) sealed by the sealing material (400).  Each of the solar battery cells (100) includes a cell substrate and a rear surface electrode arranged on the rear surface of the cell substrate.  On the front surface of the wiring board (200), the cell substrate (120) is arranged.  Each of the solar battery cells (100) is mounted on the wiring board (200) by having the rear surface electrode electrically connected with the connecting wiring.  A filling material (300) is disposed at least in a part of a space between the solar battery cells (100).
