The method involves injecting a melted plastic material into a tool (1), where the plastic material is provided with a propellant. The melted plastic material is foamed by reducing pressure of the melted plastic material in the tool and the foamed plastic material is hardened. The hardened foamed shaped part is demolded. The surfaces (2,3) of the tool that face the injected plastic material are sectionally heated during the injection of melted plastic material.
