<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology to speedily complete the recovery of an exhaust emission control capacity in an exhaust emission control device for an internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: The exhaust emission control device for an internal combustion engine is provided with a recovery means recovering the exhaust emission control capacity of the exhaust emission control device by raising the temperature to a first target temperature, a changing means changing a target temperature to a second target temperature lower than the first target temperature when predetermined conditions are satisfied, a reducing agent amount calculation means calculating a reducing agent supply amount, and an insufficiency calculation means calculating a reducing agent amount insufficient for assumedly raising the temperature to the first target temperature when a target temperature is set for the second target temperature. A reducing agent supply amount calculated by the insufficiency calculation means is added to a reducing agent supply amount requiring for the first target temperature for a predetermined period after the predetermined conditions are not satisfied and a target temperature is returned to the first target temperature. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
