<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quality evaluation method of fly ash capable of confirming the quality of the fly ash by a simple method. <P>SOLUTION: The fly ash, cement, a water reducing agent, and water are agitated to produce a mixture, and the produced mixture is allowed to stand still for a prescribed amount of time for allowing suspension particles to precipitate. Then, the volume of a precipitate made of the precipitated suspension particles is measured, and the quality of the fly ash is evaluated from the obtained volume. In addition to the evaluation, an evaluation separately shown below is also considered. A Methylene Blue solution and the fly ash are agitated and the absorbance of filtrate obtained by filtering the produced mixture is measured. Then, the obtained absorbance is applied to a relationship between Methylene Blue concentration and absorbance obtained separately, and the quality of the fly ash is evaluated from the difference between the prescribed concentration of the Methylene Blue solution before agitation with the fly ash by calculating the concentration of the Methylene Blue solution and the obtained concentration. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
