<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible stably set a tank in a tank supporting section of a body supporting the tank containing cooling water without deformation and flection and to precisely measure the volume of water. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A rice cooker includes the body 5 which has a heating means 3 and in which an inner pot 2 is detachably housed, a lid body 7 connected to the body with a hinge 6 and openably closing the upper opening of the inner pot, the tank 4 storing the cooling water and detachably mounted on the bottom plate 8 of the body, and a steam conduit 9 interposed between the inner pot and the tank and guiding the steam generated from the object to be heated in the inner pot during cooking into the tank and condensing the same to water by diffusing the same into the cooling water, wherein a metal-made reinforcing plate 11 is arranged in the bottom plate of the body.
