PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the dust removing performance of a dust remover installed in an intake channel from being lowered by stopping the inflow of floating matters such as industrial waste and drift wood flowing from a main river into an intake port. SOLUTION: In this floating matter inflow prevention device installed at the intake port 2a for taking water from the main river 1, guide rails 3, 3 are installed on both sides of the intake port 2a, both ends of a float 4 are liftably engaged with the guide rails 3, 3, eleven sheets of curtain pieces 6 are attached in series to the lower surface of the float 4 in a clinker-stacking manner, side balance rollers 7, 7, 7, 7 are attached to both ends of the float 4 engaged with the guider rollers 3, 3, and balance weight attachment parts each formed of a screw rod 9 are provided to both sides of the float 4.
