PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting body having high flexibility of cutting, without having to arrange a cutting part beforehand. SOLUTION: The light-emitting body 10 includes: a positive electrode base material 14, equipped with a positive electrode layer 12; a negative electrode base material 18 equipped with a negative electrode layer 16; an organic layer 22, including a light-emitting layer 20, sandwiched between the positive electrode layer 12 and the negative electrode layer 16; and an insulating adhesive layer 24, arranged between the positive electrode base material 14 and the negative electrode base material 18. The insulating adhesion layer 24 includes a pair of linear sections 24a, 24b arranged in a plan view, in the longitudinal direction of both the verge sides of the emitting layer 20, or in the longitudinal direction of both the outsides of the emitting layer 20, or in a single verge side of the longitudinal direction of the emitting layer 20 and the other outside of the longitudinal direction.
