<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To not only simply transmit data to a display such as a television installed away from a mobile device such as a camera but also reduce power consumption required for transmitting the data. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A communication signal transmission control portion 191 transmits a communication signal through an adjacent communication portion 18. A digital camera 1 uses the communication signal to turn on a remote control 3 to allow the television 5 to be started by a remote control 3. Also, the display control portion 193 carries out processing for displaying pickup images recorded in a recording portion 16 on a display portion 15. A control portion 19 carries out processing for transmitting the pickup images being displayed on the display portion 15 to the remote control 3 when communication with the remote control 3 is established.
