<p>Yellow azo dyes for shaped aromatic polyesters polyamides and cellulose acetate dyeings are fast eg to wet treatment ironing and light F2A. Have the formula: (wherein R is sulphonamido, alkyl- or aryl-sulphonamido; the benzene rings A and/or B may be substd). They may be obtained in known manner by diazotising a coupling the appropriate components. The dyestuffs are applied from an aqs. dispersion shaped cellulose acetate bodies being dyed at 75-85 degrees C. and cellulose triacetate fibres being dyed at 100-125 degrees C. with polyamides, dyeing is effected at 90-110 degrees C, and with aromatic polyesters, dyeing is effected in the presence of carrier at about 100 degrees C or in the absence of carrier at 120-130 degrees C.</p> |
