<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substitute meat material which has no particular taste, can be readily controlled in terms of the protein amount, and is suitable for use in food etc. for kidney diseases. <P>SOLUTION: A food composition is prepared with a mixture comprising: a konjac raw material in a hydrated and swollen state; 4-40 pts.wt.
