<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rational technology for adhered material removal which is capable of removing the adhered material adhered to a wastewater immersed member that is immersed in wastewater readily and positively regarding the wastewater treatment apparatus which carries out wastewater treatment. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In a wastewater treatment tank 1, a phosphorous removal device 60 for removing phosphorous constituent in the tank is installed at a carrier-fluidized biological filter tank 30. Metal electrodes 62 of this phosphorous removal device 60 are constituted in such a manner that they are supported by a supporting member 80 in the state that they are immersed in wastewater in the carrier-fluidized biological filter tank 30. That is, a pair of metal electrodes 62 strides over a supporting part 81a of the supporting member 80 by being inserted into a pair of slit parts 82, and it is placed on the supporting part 81a together with an electrode holding tool 61. And then, by raising the metal electrodes 62 from the slit parts 82, the adhered material is removed by way of the contact action of the adhered material adhered on the surface of the metal electrodes 62 and the slit parts 82.
