A method for picking up hemp stems after harvesting the seed by a grain combined harvester such that, with the aim of harvesting the biological yield of stems and raising the reliability of carrying out the production process, breaking thereof in the near-root area by means of rolling is used, the further forming of a windrow from the rolled hemp stems is carried out by raking thereof.
