PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of repairing a pneumatic tire, capable of repairing a damaged part of an inner liner layer of the tire to improve air impermeability and durability, and to provide a tire repairing material used for the method. SOLUTION: In the method of repairing the pneumatic tire T having the inner liner layer 1 on the inner surface of the tire and having the damaged part h<SB>1</SB>on at least the inner liner layer 1, powder 2 (tire repairing material) composed of a thermoplastic resin or a thermoplastic resin elastomer composition obtained by blending the thermoplastic resin with elastomer is sprayed so as to cover the damaged part h<SB>1</SB>of the inner liner layer 1 from the inner surface of the tire, and the sprayed powder is heated and melted to be layered.
