<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new amide compound and its salt having a biofilm formation inhibitory action or an action of removing a biofilm having been formed, and an agent for inhibiting biofilm formation or an agent for removing a biofilm each comprising the amide compound or its salt as an effective ingredient.
