<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double container for storing beer or the like which facilitates separation of materials (including a cooling storage agent), enhances the cooling effect, and maintains the connection degree between the inner container and the outer container even upon expansion of a cooling storage agent. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Heat insulating space 4 is provided between the cupped glass inner container 1 and the resin outer container 2 which is outside of the inner container. The cooling storage agent 6 is provided in the heat insulating space. The double container connects the upper part of the inner container with an upper part of the outer container so as to be detachable. The bottom surface of the inner container is like a dome, wherein its height is increased toward the center. The outer container has a detachable bottom cover 8 covering a tubular outer container body 7 and the bottom thereof. The heat insulating space has cooling storage agent fill space 5 surrounded by a cold storage container 3 having a downward opening and the detachable bottom cover covering the opening. The cold storage container has a top wall 31 made of a resin softer than the outer container and having a horizontal part 31a below the bottom surface of the inner container and has a peripheral wall 32 vertically extended from the outer periphery of a top wall. The horizontal part has a chevron-shaped gap 31c between it and the inner container upon softening of the cooling storage agent and is adhered to the bottom surface of the inner container upon solidification/expansion of the cooling storage agent.
