PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus performing boot-up processing without depending on an address bit length of a slave device. SOLUTION: The information processing apparatus includes: a serial interface for serially transmitting each bit of an address and serially receiving each bit of data; a boot memory for storing a boot program; and a control circuit for executing the boot program in start and performing start time processing. In the start time processing, the control circuit determines whether data serially received by the serial interface with first timing as start timing match prescribed data and, when the data do not match, determines whether the data serially received by the serial interface with second timing as start timing match the prescribed data.
