<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illuminating device having a diffusion plate that is fastened to the lower part of a case with its both ends projecting upward and bent to increase the emission area of light emitted sidewise. <P>SOLUTION: The illuminating device 100 includes the case 110 having a housing space, a light source 120 disposed in the housing space of the case 110, and the diffusion plate 130 whose both ends project upward and bent to be fastened to both sides of the case 110. The light source 120 may be formed of an LED. A heat dissipating plate may be further attached to one face of the housing space of the case 110. The case 110 may be buried in a placement space, and the diffusion plate fastened to the case 110 may project out from the placement space. The diffusion plate 130 may be formed of a transparent or nontransparent acrylic resin. The diffusion plate 130 may be constituted in such a way that both ends of the diffusion plate 130 are bent, fastened closely to both sides of the case 110, and fixed with fixing members 140, and the fixing members 140 may be formed of elastic materials. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
