<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochemical cell stable and excellent in output performance, using a hydrogen electrode which is high in catalytic activity and high in durability. <P>SOLUTION: In a solid oxide electrochemical cell having a hydrogen electrode on one side of a solid oxide electrolyte layer 11 having ionic conductivity and an oxygen electrode on the other side facing the one side, the hydrogen electrode contains, on the surface of the electrolyte having oxygen ion conductivity, a mixed phase of magnesium oxide-sintered particles 17 having at least one particle selected from Ni, Co, Fe and Cu on the surface parts, the whole or part of the surfaces thereof being covered with a mixed conductive film, and sintered particles 16 having ionic conductivity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
