DEVICE, METHOD AND PROGRAM FOR PROCESSING INFORMATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel and improved device for processing information capable of selecting and carrying out various functions through intuitional moving of a finger of a user using displayed icons for operations on a display.

SOLUTION: The device for processing information includes an image sensing section, an icon display control section for operations displaying icons for operations on the display and an imaged image display control section successively displaying an input-operation region image composed of pixel regions containing at least a part of the hand of the user in the image imaged by the image sensing section on the display. The device further includes an icon control section for operations controlling event-issue definition information as a condition for determining that an icon for an operation is operated by the user for each icon for operations and an operation decision section deciding whether or not the icon for the operation is operated by the user on the basis of the input-operation region image displayed on the display and the event-issue definition information. The device further has a processing carrying-out section carrying out predetermined processing corresponding to the icon for the operation in response to the result of decision made by the operation decision section.
