<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a braided multi-filament suture thread representing a combination of desirable characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: A surgical device comprising a core having at least one filament, and a sheath which is disposed around the core and which includes a first yarn including thermoplastic elastomer and a second yarn including a polyolefin material is provided.
