<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display apparatus capable of displaying containers with their labels facing in a predetermined direction even if the containers are placed with their labels facing in random directions when vertically displaying the containers on the display apparatus. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A control section 36 actuates a second motor M2, for example, to counterclockwise rotate a rotating table 312 as shown in (A). The container 20 thus rotates counterclockwise. After that, the control section 36 determines whether or not detecting a bar code attached to the container 20, based on an output from a bar code detection sensor S1. When determining that the bar code is detected, the control section 36 actuates the second motor M2 for a predetermined number of steps (or a predetermined time) alone and stops the actuation of the second motor M2.
