PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which can suitably set a copying condition for an original. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus outputting the original has the copying condition for the outputted original and a priority order set for determining the actual copying condition from a set copying condition, a condition on the machine side and the condition inputted by a user and these pieces of information are imbedded to and outputted as the original. The image forming apparatus on the copying side restores by extracting the imbedded copying condition and the priority order above. Then, the condition with the higher priority among the conditions above is determined as the copying condition for each item of the copying condition (S304 to S310) and the original is copied according to that condition.
