PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and stable developer leakage preventing device. SOLUTION: The developer leakage preventing device includes: a cleaning rubber 1a, which is formed of elastic body and integrally provided with a pair of plate-like projections 1c extending in parallel in the longitudinal direction; and a projecting part 3a provided on a cleaning container 3 storing toner 8 in the interior thereof extending in the longitudinal direction. The projecting part 3a inserted between the pair of plate-like projections 1c is brought into close contact with the respective inside surfaces 1c<SB>1</SB>of the pair of plate-like projections 1c.
