PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fabric for a fabric spring which has a strong breaking strength and a high tear strength, scarcely causes broken fibers to run and a scar due to a knife or the like and a hole formed by a cigarette fire or the like to enlarge in size, and has high safety. SOLUTION: The fabric for a fabric spring includes a warp knitted fabric whose ground weave is composed of a knitted loop weave of at least two or more sheets of reeds and satisfies the following (1) to (5): (1) One of tricot knitting fabrics composes a knitted loop by one or more and two or less needle swings, (2) The other tricot knitting fabric composes a knitted loop by the same as or more than the needle swings of the one of tricot knitting fabrics and eight or less needle swings. (3) Yarn intercalated in a longitudinal direction of one tricot knitting is intercalated in the warp direction in the same direction or different direction to the other tricot knitting. (4) The breaking strength of smaller one either in a longitudinal direction and/or a transverse direction is 600 N or more.
