PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diagnosis device of a temperature trap which can diagnose whether or not the temperature trap successfully discharges condensate around a set temperature. SOLUTION: In the diagnosis device, an inlet 1, a valve chest 5 and an outlet 2 are formed of a valve casing made up of a body 3 and a lid 4. A valve port 8 is provided between the valve chest 5 and outlet 2. An adjusting rod 17 having a valve shaft fitting hole 18 is screwed to the lid 4. A valve shaft 12 containing a valve element 13 for opening/closing the valve port 8 at one end is arranged with the other end displaceably fitted to the valve shaft fitting hole 18. A bimetal laminate 26 is arranged around the valve shaft 12. The device is provided with a position detecting sensor 30 for detecting a position of the adjusting rod 17, a temperature sensor 37 for detecting temperature of the body 3, and a diagnosing means 36 for executing countermeasure processing against abnormality when the set temperature is calculated from a detected position of the adjusting rod 17 by a position detecting sensor 30 and when the temperature difference obtained through the comparison between the set temperature and detected temperature by the temperature sensor 37 is more than a set threshold value.
