<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the flexibility of a processing algorithm in a microprocessor system such as an intelligent biosensor with a compact semiconductor integrated circuit satisfying desired low power consumption and real time properties. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The microprocessor system is divided into: an input/output processing part 3 of which the processing content is determined according to an input/output specification to the system, and a signal processing part 4 of which the processing content is determined according to a predetermined algorithm. The input/output processing part 3 is achieved by a pre-designed embedded system of hardware and software, and the signal processing part 4 is achieved by automatically synthesizing hardware and software from a program which describes the processing process of the same in an algorithm description language.
