<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low tank device wherein clean water controlling a drain valve by a driving means not requiring a waterproof/moistureproof device is prevented from being contaminated with sewage and safety is assured even in a case of an automatic flushing apparatus using a low tank. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The low tank device includes an overflow pipe capable of being vertically driven and a drain valve installed under the overflow valve, both of which are provided inside a low tank body for feeding flushing water to a toilet bowl, and further includes a water pressure cylinder device installed inside the overflow pipe for opening/closing the drain valve. The water pressure cylinder device includes a piston connected with the drain valve, a case having the piston installed therein, a water feed control means for feeding the flushing water to the inside of the case and a drain section for discharging the flushing water from the inside of the case. The piston is moved by feeding the flushing water to the inside of the case to open/close the drain valve. At least part of the water pressure cylinder device is stored inside the overflow pipe.
