<p>Provided is a media processing apparatus which has a transfer path for transferring sheet-like media and a stacking mechanism for stacking the media fed out from the transfer path. The stacking mechanism has a guiding member for guiding the media fed out from the transfer path and stacking the same and a conveyer for drawing the media guided by the guiding member onto the guiding member while holding the media between the guiding member and itself. It is thereby possible to reduce the preparatory time for a stacking operation and the time required to stack bank notes and prevent occurrence of any abnormality of an equipment, such as a paper jam.</p> |
