<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting element and a light-emitting display, which can further enhance the identification property of a display content. <P>SOLUTION: The light-emitting display is arranged in a dot-matrix with the light-emitting elements 3 with a residual portion excepting a p-side electrode 36 portion serving as a light-emitting face 11, by providing a p-side electrode 36 for supplying an electric power source to a main light-emitting face 10. The p-side electrode 36 is provided with a cut-out part 36a partially exposing the main light-emitting face 10 in a position of an angled part of the main light-emitting face 10 formed into a rectangular shape, and an exposed portion is thereby made to serve as the light-emitting face 11. The adjacent light-emitting elements 3 get to hardly interfere with each other with lights therefrom, when arranged in the dot-matrix with the light-emitting elements 3, by providing the light-emitting face 11 to shift the cut-out part 36a from the center of the p-side electrode 36, a character and a symbol are prevented from being brought into a foggy display state, and the character and the symbol get easily visible thereby. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
