<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold clamping apparatus capable of attaining cost reduction by making the apparatus compact and achieving to make a machine durable for a longer life while keeping accuracy of molding. <P>SOLUTION: The mold clamping apparatus includes a movable die plate having a movable mold, and a fixed mold 16 provided opposing the movable mold. The mold clamping apparatus is also equipped with a fixed die plate 14 movable relatively to the movable die plate, a half nut 24 provided on the opposite side of a position opposing to the movable die plate of the fixed die plate 14, and a tie bar 22 one end of which is fixed to the movable die plate, and having an engaging part 24a which can engage to the half nut 24 on the other end when penetrating through the fixed die plate 14. Under a condition that the engaging part 16a of the tie bar 22 is locked with the half nut 24, mold clamping is performed with the movable mold and the fixed mold 16. In this clamping apparatus, the contacting faces of the half nut 24 and the fixed die plate 14 are respectively made to be parts of spherical faces with equal diameters. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
